Mabon

In the month of Passage
in the difficult passage between the worlds
the wish to preserve
while the dark forward
the memory of the light … “

“Nel mese del Passaggio
nel difficile varco fra i mondi
l’augurio di custodire
mentre il buio avanza
la memoria della luce …”

Mabon (September 23)

Mabon is the second of three celebrations for the harvest. It ‘s the time when you make the second harvest of fruit and wine. The powers of light and darkness are balanced now. It ‘s time to celebrate the blessings of the year. The goddess is mature and shows its appearance generous mother.
In September, we also give our greetings to the God of the Harvest. He is The Green Man, seen as the cycle of nature in the realm of the woods. He is collected and its seeds are planted in the ground so that life can continue and be more plentiful.
From the equinox autumn, the power of the sun begins to decrease until the winter solstice, when the sun begins to grow in intensity and the days become longer than the nights again.
This then is the time to weep and rejoice, as we face the darkness and look back at the year that we just vissutoE the beginning of the most powerful time of the year - the time when oscuro- sunlight recedes and allows focus more on the inner and deep feminine principle.
Each of us must face the mystery in our lives. Rituals heartfelt as well as rebirth and joy are to follow suit.
It ‘s the time when the Goddess must greet his Consort. The separation between mother and daughter, and that between lovers is the dominant theme of this sabbat.
The issue is balancing the polarity, then do something about the balance of your life. The male and female elements of your personality need an equal respect and expression. Tonight, when the daylight hours and the hours of darkness are equivalent, it is a night to honor the balance of the Goddess and God and the harmony of matter and spirit, because witchcraft celebrates not only the spiritual life of the world next, but also the physics of this world.
Mabon is considered the time of the mysteries. It ‘s time to honor the old gods and the Spirit. E considered a period of equilibrium; is when we can stop, relax and enjoy the fruits of our personal harvests.
It a time to put an end to old projects as we prepare for the year of rest, relaxation and reflection. The work should be magical protection, prosperity, security and self-confidence.
